Top Ten Tuesday – 10 Characters I’d Like To Check In With
April 7, 2015
Top Ten Tuesday is a feature hosted by The Broke and The Bookish in which they select a topic every week, and the rest of us get to make Top Ten lists based on that topic. This week’s topic: Top Ten Characters You’d Like To Check In With (meaning, the book or series is over and you so just wish you could peek in on the “life” you imagine they are leading years down the line after the story ends). Those of you who know me well, know that I have a terrible memory when it comes to recalling specifics of books after more than a few weeks (except for a few rare exceptions). Most of the characters listed below are from books that I’ve read recently.
Violet Markey from All the Bright Places by Jennifer Niven – One of my favorite books of all time! I would love to know how Violet’s life turns out!
Sky and Josh from I’ll Meet You There by Heather Demetrios – How do their lives intersect a few years down the road?
Anna and Lincoln from Girl Before a Mirror by Liza Palmer – How does this relationship fare over the long haul?
Daisy and Erik from The Man I Love by Suanne Laqueur – I’m so excited because it appears that we are going to hear more of the story of Daisy and Erik very soon with the release of Laqueur’s new book Give Me Your Answer True.
Julia and Michael from The Rooms Are Filled by Jessica Null Vealitzek – Do Julia and Michael ever encounter one another again? What’s Michael’s life like as an adult?
Amelia and Maya from The Storied Life of A.J. Fikry by Gabrielle Zevin. It’s hard to not give any spoilers away on this one, but I just need a little more of this story!
August Pullman from Wonder by R.J. Palacio – What does Auggie’s life look like as an adult? Are he and his sister still tight? What does he do for a living?
Louisa Clark from Me Before You by Jojo Moyes – What does Louisa’s life look like 10 years from now?
Matt Worthson from Coeur D’Alene Waters by Ned Hayes – Is Matt still an officer? What does his relationship with Kevin look like now?
Leena Williams from The New Mrs. Collins by Quanie Miller – This is another one that’s hard to talk about without revealing spoilers. I just need an update on Leena.
